GRADE 3

In Grade 3, we have been focusing on being kind to one another and discussing what qualities a good friend has.

In Maths, we have been working with place value, ordering numbers and placing them on a number line.

In English, our focus has been on Narratives with the students writing stories about ‘A day in the life of a fruit/vegetable.’ We have been discussing different writing strategies to improve their writing by looking at many story starters and alternatives to said/then/went etc.

We have been looking at the main idea of different texts by highlighting and underlying key words.

In Art, we have been looking at Zentangles and making our own patterned Zentangle creations.

We have also been developing our power point skills in the IT Lab while working on our “Healthy Eating” slideshows.
